(failure to play as scheduled may result in forfeit of match)

• Format: Best of 10*-game match

-- knock-out, elimination pairing (ALL match games conducted at ICC "main" or "queens");

-- lower-rated chooses starting color; colors alternate by game

-- in case of 5.0-5.0 tie, match continues until one player has at least 1.5-.5point "lead"

(after 2-game "mini"-matches);

-- FINALS are best of 20-game match (first to 10.5, or more with >1.5-pt lead);

-- if both players choose to conduct match in absence of official arbiter, both players waive

ANY claim(s) that may arise (and "need" to be witnessed, such as lag disputes), etc.

-- and both players are requested to save match games to library, for purposes

of record- and score-keeping of all games in this event, until both players are

told by WOLC that they no longer "need" to keep the games "saved"

(entering under more than one handle WILL disqualify ALL of your entries!!)

• Deadline: To participate, entry MUST be received

between 1 Dec. 2004 and 27 Dec. 2004

• Additional Notes:

• A special website listing rounds' pairings will be posted on 31 Dec. 2003;

(it is possible that some top-seeded players will receive a 1st-round bye);

• Participants without official WOLC rating will be given estimated rating by WOLC;

• No computer- or human-assistance is permitted

• Be at ICC at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your scheduled match

(or risk being forfeitted!);

• Contact the WOLC as soon as possible if you have any difficulties

with your scheduled match time;

• ALL WOLC rules will be enforced for this event (including lag-forfeit)
(please read them if you have not yet done so!);

• All games are WOLC-rated

(and ICC-unrated, unless players agree otherwsie);
